I shelved it, but I not to blame. Trust.

Did I say that one of the reasons why I shelved my last blog was the emergence of generative AI? I mean, think about it for a second: reading was already on a downward trajectory thanks to the infinite supply of visual content. Yes, I know, we all have that one weird friend who reads books for fun, but my point still stands: visual and over-stimulating content > reading books, at least statistically. Now, imagine beating that already dead horse with the release of a technology that can generate thousands of lines of text about any range of topics within minutes. How the fuck are you supposed to carve a place out for yourself when the entry barrier to a lot of things — writing especially — is as low as a hoe?
